The original Woman in a Red Armchair painting was by Pablo Picasso.
It was painted in 1929 and is currently owned by the Houston art gallery, The Menil Collection.
Sadly, on June 13, 2012, the painting was vandalized while on display at the Menil gallery by a 22-year old man named Uriel Landeros.
